Take what you need, leave what you can
It is that wonderful time of year again when the fruits (and vegetables) of our garden labors pay off in multitudes. Remember that Whitevalley Community Resource Centre hosts a fruit and vegetable exchange table all summer long.
If you find yourself having an abundance of produce, fruits or plants then please bring them down and leave them on the table for someone else to enjoy. On the flip side, if you are looking for a bundle of rhubarb, a few extra pepper plants or some sweet cherry tomatoes then come on down and have a peek at the daily offerings. You never know what you’re going to find as it changes every day!
The produce table is located on the side of the Whitevalley Resource Centre’s office building (2114 Shuswap Avenue) and will be showcasing local bounty from now until fall. For more information call -1-250-547-8866.
A weekly feature for Lumby, Cherryville, and area seniors.
