U18 Lumby Stars sponsored by Valley Wood were in Salmon Arm Saturday, February 12 facing off against Salmon Arm 1 – Hemsworth. Ryder Quibell opened the scoring and also picked up an assist for the evening . Jace Catt sniped 2 goals, Tye Krause 2+1, Riley Dewhirst went end to end to score a beauty. Ben Gillick had 1+1 and Linden Catt had some sweet moves to finish the scoring for the stars with an 8-0 win. Zachary Young had 2 assists with great passing and Jack Laventure picked up 1 assist. Colton Young, Tori Maltman and Grady Krause battled hard in front of the net all night while Faith Seehaver and Mia Maltman held the blue line. The player of the game jacket went to both Tyra Cunningham and James Wraight who earned the shutout together. U18 next game is their home tournament Friday, February 18 @ 11:30am – 1:00pm vs West Kelowna.
