Rusty Spur—a beloved farm, feed and pet store with roots in Lumby since 2004 and Enderby since 2020—is launching a new pet food delivery service to help seniors and busy pet families in the North Okanagan. Starting August 6, 2024, Pawority will offer next-day delivery of trusted cat and dog food brands in Vernon, Armstrong and Coldstream.
At a time when families are watching their budgets closely, and as the popularity of having a cat or dog grows with many benefits to wellbeing, Pawority owners Stuart Anderson and Andrea Mann say the timing was right for a local pet food delivery service.
“As anyone with a pet knows, they are part of your family and you want to give them the best care and nutrition. Bags of dog food are heavy and if you’re busy or can’t or don’t want to go out, it can be a chore going to a pet store to find quality food that meets your pet’s needs,” says Anderson, who also runs the Rusty Spur locations in Enderby and Lumby with his wife, Andrea. “We wanted to make it easy for everyone to get affordable, nutrient-rich pet food and all other supplies from a local business that knows and loves pets.”
After choosing from a vast selection of trusted brands on Pawority, customers can select next-day delivery or start a monthly subscription for even more savings. Delivery is free on orders over $50 and prices are the same or lower than most pet stores. The Pawority van and driver, Dave, has now started making deliveries.
“Many of us have come to appreciate the convenience of online shopping and the savings—but we’re fortunate in the North Okanagan that people also value shopping local and with a priority for their pet’s nutrition. Pawority brings that all together for pet owners and we’re looking forward to growing our community of pet families and supporting the wellness of even more cats and dogs in our area,” says Anderson.
