Well, this past Saturday was a wash out, literally. We tried to open the market, but then we had a torrential rain that just would not quit. It was horrible! We were all drenched down to our skin. It was like the rain we usually get on Lumby Days, but for some reason got none this year.

Hopefully it will be better this coming week.

Speaking of this coming week, the Lumby and District Public market will be having a BBQ, hot dogs, burgers, drinks at reasonable prices. It will be a lot of fun.

Don’t forget we will be having our famous Butter Tart Festival coming up September 19, 2026. If you would like to be a vendor for the market and or the Butter Tart Festival you can email us at lumbymarket@gmail.com

If you are applying to be a vendor selling food including Butter Tarts you will need to have current Food Safe.

All vendors must have $2 million insurance for any of our markets or events. You can get insurance coverage for one day
