Howdy! Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween with lots of little ‘Trick or Treaters’ stopping by! A special ‘Thank You’ is extended to the Lumby Fire Fighters for putting on the Fire Works display! It’s a wonderful event for our Lumby community! Don’t forget to change your clocks back this Sunday November 5th as we now begin Pacific Standard Time! Apparently the reason we ‘spring’ forward in the spring and ‘fall’ back in the fall is to “conserve energy and maximize the use of daylight!”
Friday November 10th at 2:00 pm is our Annual General Meeting and we encourage you to attend. It is important for our seniors to continue to support our Lumby OAP Monashee 50+ Club, so we can continue to offer the variety of activities we have available. Winter is a great time to become involved and it certainly would be nice to see many of our old members along with new members come and join us! Membership is $20.00 per year.
Also there is a new activity taking place each Friday from 10:00 am until noon! It’s called Fiber Friday! Apparently it includes crocheting and knitting! It sounds quite exciting and if you are interested please contact the Village Gallery at 778-473-3029 and they can explain what it’s all about.
