Hello once again! I would like to apologize for not recognizing the Village of Lumby and Big Bang out of Calgary for the fireworks display. Should get my facts correct before I write!! Can you believe Christmas is just a little over six weeks away! I couldn’t believe that in some stores Christmas decorations were being put up before Halloween decorations were taken down! And we haven’t even acknowledged Remembrance Day which is this Saturday November 11th!
This Friday November 10th at 2:00 pm is our Annual General Meeting! The OAP Monashee 50+ Club has been around for over 50 years and we would like to see it continue. A special ‘Thank You’ is extended to Pat Mackie and Jacquie Hansen, who call our members to remind them of our monthly meetings. We would like to send our thoughts and encouragement to Pat as she has had some health issues and passed her ‘Call List’ along to Jacquie! It’s always so nice to see Alice Balkwill, Sylvia Fiset, Frieda Ross, and George Zarr, who have been dedicated members for many years, attend.
Our next monthly luncheon is on Thursday November 16th and we will be serving cabbage rolls, perogies and sausages along with a delicious dessert! So, Save the Date! We hope to see you then! Doors open at 11:00 am, lunch is served at 11:30 and price is $10.00! Take outs are available! Please call by 11:00 am and pick up is 12 noon. We also deliver!
