The June general meeting of the Monashee 50+ Club will be held on Thursday, June 11th. This meeting will give members an opportunity to check out the changes to the constitution. There will be no meetings during July and August. Meetings will resume in September.
They are still looking for volunteers to help for the concession and cash on Bingo Nights.
There will be a Lumby Days Pancake Breakfast at the OAP Hall, Saturday, June 13th, and Sunday, June 14th, from 8:00am to 11:00am. Please join us for a delicious breakfast.
The next Monashee 50+ Club luncheon will be held on Thursday, June 18th, at the OAP Hall. The menu consists of baked chicken, potato salad, coleslaw, 4-bean salad, corn salad, pickles, corn on the cob, and garlic bread, with chocolate éclair cake for dessert. It is only $10 per plate/person. Doors open at 11:00 am and luncheon is served at approximately 11:30 am. Please phone Connie at 250-306-9841 for takeout or information.
This will be my last Monashee 50+ Club article until late August or early September. If you want to see activities and/or events happen, please think about volunteering. The work of volunteers is what keeps these activities running.
