News from the OAPO/Monashee 50+ Club – January 23, 2026

The general meeting of the Monashee 50+ Club was held on Thursday, January 15 at 2:00 p.m.  We are sorry about any mix-up.  Our guest speaker was unavailable because of glitches in communication and scheduling. The RCMP are now rescheduled for our March meeting.

The next meeting of the Monashee 50+ Club will be held on Thursday, February 12 at 2:00 p.m. Our guest speakers will be members of the Snowflake Precision Flyers. Everyone is welcome to come join us to hear about the history of these pilots and the exciting and interesting things they have done.

The first social gathering of Coffee & Co. took place on Friday, January 16.   More than a dozen people attended.  Coffee & Co is an opportunity for people to get together to drink coffee, play board or card games, do puzzles, or just sit around and chat.  There will be another Coffee & Co. on Friday, January 30.  Doors will open at 1:00 p.m. and close at 3:30 p.m. If anyone has games to share, please bring them along.  We would especially appreciate any games that don’t require a lot of time to learn the rules or to play the game.  If you could provide entertainment, that would be very welcome.

Saturday Markets will resume in February. The tentative dates for these markets are February 7 and 21, March 7 and 21, and April 4 and 18.  Please note that these dates may be subject to change.  I will try to keep you updated of any changes.

If you know of any senior under the weather or who needs cheering up, please contact Jacquie, our Sunshine Girl, at 250-547-8913.
