September is right around the corner and we can feel that hint of change in the air. We are gearing up to start our fall and winter programs.
Our gaming license for Bingo has been applied for and it will be resuming in September and opening date will be announced. Doors will open at 5:00 P.M. and Bingo starts at 6:30 every Tuesday night. Watch for opening date.
Quilting, although they run all year, is Monday’s from 9:30-3:30, call Kaye for information at 778-473-9013. Men’s pool is Monday’s and Thursday’s 12:00-3:00 and you can contact George for the lowdown. Ladies Pool is Wednesdays at 11:00-1:00 with the same drop-in fee of $2 as the Men’s Pool and contact Ron 250-503-8567. Beginners are welcome and Ron is a patient teacher. Wednesdays are Art Classes from 5:30-8:00 through the Monashee Art Council and you can phone 778-473-3029. Sassy Senior’s is the 1stand 3rd Thursday of each month and from 6:00-8:00, call Norma at 778-212-4125 for updates on activities. Fridays is Fiber Friday from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon with crafts of all kinds. Monthly Lunches will start on October 17th headed up by Connie at 250-306-9841 with doors open at 11:00 and lunch served at 11:30. Monthly Members Meetings at 10:00 A.M. the second Thursday of each month with guest speakers. September 12th we are looking forward to hearing Lumby Fire Chief, Tony Clayton. Everyone is welcome to join us. Memberships yearly fee is $20 and always looking for new members. A small committee headed up by Pamela will resume to work on Policies and Procedures in September. In October our focus is on the upcoming Board Elections in November with Nominee Forms which can be picked up at the hall or through Pamela 250-308-2665.
