Moments in Time – Photos & Memories from the Lumby Museum – Lumby & District TV Association

In 1961, a group of Lumby citizens created a non-profit organization to broadcast local station CHBC/TV Kelowna to residents in Lumby, Whitevale, Trinity Valley, Mabel Lake and Lavington.  100 residents donated $50.00 to get things started on Satellite Hill.  For 41 years, the Lumby & District TV Association was operated entirely by volunteers, including Lumby Logger publisher Harvey Howard who we remember this week with his passing on December 4, 1973.
