How is everyone this week? Winter is here, but we’re not shovelling snow yet. It’s just cool and dry, it’s supposed to stay that way for most of the winter.
Last Sunday we held the Zone Cribbage play downs. The results of the play downs are single rep Rod Hartfelder, doubles rep’s Kathyrn Moulding and Wynn Hartfelder, the team will be Rod Hartfelder, Wynn Hartfelder, Kathyrn Moulding and Deb Calvert. Good luck to all of them at the Zones. The next Zone play downs will be darts. That will be held on December 10th, the lounge will be open at noon and play will start shortly after. Also, on December 1st there will be Women’s Zone Darts play downs at 2:00 pm. We just found out about this. Any female member in good standing can come and play darts. The winners will go to the Zone play downs.
Remember on Thursdays we have a Jam session in the afternoon and in the evening we have league darts. Also the next league Shuffleboard is on Sunday December 5th, the lounge is open at noon play starts at 1:15 pm.
This Saturday we are holding the Twelve Hours of Music in the hall. Last week I mistakenly said it was in the lounge, but it is being held in the hall. The line up is as follows; a Jam Session from noon to 3:00 pm, Chrisy Kendal-Ward from 3:00 to 4:30 pm, Steel Wound from 4:30 to 6:00 pm. In the evening No Bad Day’s will play from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, Linda-Sue Wilson from 7:30 to 9:00 pm, Rockonagan from 9:00 to 10:30 pm and we will close with Red Dog from 10:30 to Midnight. So come down to the Legion and enjoy the music. There will be food and beverages available.
On December 15th there is a karaoke in the lounge. Whit and Rus are celebrating their first year of employment so come down show them some appreciation, they deserve it.
On New Years Eve we are having a games night. There will be team competitions of darts, pool and crib. The teams will be selected at random. Also bring your favourite appetizer for a potluck dinner.
