Men’s Shed Comes To Lumby!

Mayor Acton is delighted that there’s a group of men working to bring a Men’s Shed to Lumby. “A Men’s Shed would be a great thing for Lumby and the surrounding area. Although primarily for men, there would be so many positives for our community “.

The Men’s Shed originated in Australia in 1988. There are now over 1,400 around the world and 57 in British Columbia with many more across Canada.

It is a place for men where they can have coffee together, talk and support each other. The plan is to have a Lumby location with equipment where men can enjoy each others company while participating  in project including woodworking and metalwork, not only for their own benefit but also the surrounding area.

The Men’s Shed Lumby is happy to hear from those who are interested in more information, joining or supporting. For the moment contact: mensshedlumby@gmail.com
