Memorial Bench at Lumby United
A Memorial bench was the vision a congregation member. In 2023 CBSS forestry program was approached to build a bench, it is at 2012 Park Avenue, Lumby; on the lawn, shaded by aged lilac trees.
The bench has been in place for over a year, a memorial to Lumby residents who were part of our community; to be remembered with love and appreciation.
A memorial plaque has been made for the bench. We will add names of community members; in remembrance. We invite people to come sit on the bench, to enjoy a peaceful setting in which to remember their loved one.
Memorialize a family member or friend by adding a name plate to the bench. The name plates will be uniform in size 1’x 2 1/2’, with the persons name, year of birth and year of passing. Name plates will cost $20. each and be affixed to the bench, when ordered through the church. Name plates can be added at anytime.
We invite you to join us for the dedication on June 30th at 12:30. We will be installing the memorial plaque and name plates that have been ordered. Refreshment to follow in Dickie Hall.
