Maintain Don’t Gain & Summer Challenges

Last week you saw our most recent Biggest Loser contestants and their incredible stats and transformations. If their journeys inspired you, we will be running another Biggest Loser Contest starting September 2026!

But if you want to get a jumpstart on your health journey — and potentially win a FREE month toward the contest — join our Maintain Don’t Gain Contest and/or our Summer Challenges!

Maintain Don’t Gain Contest

We will take initial stats now and reassess at the end of August to see who has successfully maintained their results through the summer.

  • Everyone who maintains will be entered into a draw to win 1 FREE month toward our September Biggest Loser Contest.
  • The person who loses the highest % of total body fat over the summer will automatically win a FREE month into the September contest.

Included in the contest

  • Guest speakers throughout
  • Fitness challenges throughout the summer
  • Nutrition education and support

Summer Challenges:

These challenges are open to all DEEM members — current or new — with prizes throughout the summer, including prizes within the individual challenges themselves.

They are perfect for anyone wanting something different to push themselves with, even if they are not necessarily interested in joining the Biggest Loser Contest.

Challenges Include:

Quadrathlon Challenge

  • Walk/run the Rail Trail one way
  • Bike back
  • Hike SilverStar Mountain
  • Row the length of Kalamalka Lake

All challenges can also be completed indoors using the treadmill, stair climber, bike, and rowing machine. We provide the distances and tracking goals for each challenge.

Strength Competition — 1 RM Challenges

  • Bench Press
  • Leg Press
  • Rows
  • Bicep Curls

Skipping Relay for Charity

A 12-hour skipping relay where participants can skip anywhere from a minimum of 5 minutes up to 1 hour if desired – as long as there is someone skipping at all times for all 12 hours.

Divisions Include:

  • Age groups
  • Men’s and women’s categories
  • Overall best scores
  • First-to-finish categories where applicable

Whether you want to challenge yourself this summer, give back through charity, improve your fitness, or simply have something to push and inspire you, come become part of an amazing community.

At DEEM, you’re never doing it alone.

At DEEM, every regular gym session includes a trainer with you in a small-group setting (1 trainer to 4 people), or (1-1 packages), helping guide your workouts, pace you appropriately, and prepare you safely for larger cardio and fitness challenges with less chance of injury.

Come challenge yourself this summer with us!
