Well how is everyone this week? There’s a little bit of snow and freezing rain so the roads and sidewalks are slippery, so be careful when your outside.
I hope everyone enjoyed the last Karaoke, the next Karaoke is on December 15th. It’s a special one, Whit and Rus are celebrating their first year of working for the Legion. So, come down to the party and show them some appreciation.
Last Sunday we held the Zone Pool play downs to see who will represent us at the Zone play downs. The singles zone rep will be Nick Hodges, Art Wilman is the alternate. Tim Beahm and Nick Hodges will be the doubles rep’s. And the fourth member for the team is Simara Beahm. Good luck to all of them at the Zone play downs.
This Sunday November 26th we are holding the Zone Cribbage play downs. The lounge will be open at noon and play will start shortly after. Remember this is for members in good standing only. Please remember to bring your Legion card we need your membership number to register you. The next zone event will be Zone Darts on December 10th.
On December 2nd we are holding the Twelve Hours of Music event in the lounge. This is the line up for the bands. There will be a Jam Session from noon to 3:00 pm, Chrisy Kendal-ward will play from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm followed Steel Wond from 4:30 to 6:00 pm. In the evening No Bad Day’s will be on from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, Linda-Sue Wilson will play from 7:30 to 9:00 pm then, Rockonagan from 9:00 to 10;30 pm. The show will close with Red Dog from 10:30 to Midnight. There will be food and beverages available.
On New Years Eve we are having a fun night . There will be team competitions of Darts, Pool and Crib. The teams will be selected at random and will participate in all three sports. There will be information to follow on the party.
Last article there was an error, I said the next meeting is on December 29th. That was a mistake the next meeting is on December 20th.
At the last meeting we elected the Executive Committee for 2024. This the new executives.
