Hello from the Lumby Legion. How is everybody in the second week of 2023.
At the Legion this week we hosting the Legion Zone cribbage tournament, it will be on Friday Jan 13 at 2:00 pm. Legion members in good standing (paid up for 2023) only can play.
We Held the Legion Zone darts Saturday. The winners were; in Singles John Kevener, in Doubles John Kevener and Mike Teague and the Team is John K, Mike T, Rich Richardson and Rod Hartfelder. Congratulations to them.
This month at the Legion we having a Karaoke on January 27th from 8-11 in the lounge. The next shuffleboard is on January 22nd registration at noon. And darts is every Thursday from 7-9 registration at 6:30pm.
January 28th is the installation of officers and awards ceremony. There will be a light luncheon before. The lounge will be open at 11:00 am for cocktails luncheon at 12:00, installation and awards to follow. There will a slight fee for the luncheon.
Stay tuned for the coming events. Later on this year there will be members only pool tournaments; men’s, ladies, Mixed doubles and Seniors (55+). There may also an open pool tournament for all comers. And there might also a mixed seniors darts tournament. We will see whats going to happen.
I would also like to thank all of the volunteers who helped out at the legion last year. Without them we couldn’t kept the Legion going.
Big thank you to everyone else (our patrons) who support us. The Legion is open to all comers who are 19+ and if you are interested in participating in Legion events you are welcome to join us.
