Have Fun Drinking Your Water

Welcome to Colleen’s Corner. This is a column meant for fun and some information About myself: I am Colleen Fielding, a Freelance Photographer you often see me on the side of the road  or in various places taking photos of different things animals, birds, places, people etc.  l have lived in Lumby just over 8 years, you have seen my photos in the newspaper (Lumby Valley Times) and once in awhile in the Vernon Morning Star, and the Lumby Art Gallery. Photography is my passion. Disclaimer:  The information on some of my photos that I write about a lot of times come from the Internet or books I research them, hopefully the facts are as close to the truth as I can come.

I often wonder why people don’t drink water, including my husband. I have heard some people tell me they find water boring!

I drink a lot of water. I have a glass or two of water when I wake up in the morning, throughout the day I have a few more glasses of water, I even have a glass of water on my night table just in case I need some in the middle of the night. Tim, my husband, thinks I drink so much water sometimes that I might float away. Nope, that hasn’t happened yet. As a matter of fact I am drinking water right now while I am writing my column.

I love drinking water, and there are so many benefits to drinking it.

Drinking water helps  skin, nails, and hair to stay healthy.

It helps to regulate blood pressure.

Also helps to keep the body temperature regulated

When I have a few glasses of water it helps to give me energy.

It keeps the Kidneys functioning the way they are supposed to and helps to prevent Kidney Stones.

It’s great for my digestive system and joint health.

Drinking Water has no sugar or calories.

Drinking water can help with  certain headaches

If you drink alcohol you might get hangovers, drinking water between your alcoholic beverages can help to prevent a hangover. Always have a glass of water when you wake up the next morning after drinking, this will help to make you feel better.

Drinking enough water will also help to prevent constipation.

Drinking Water helps oxygen and nutrients to travel inside your body from head to toe excreting waste from your kidneys.

You can drink water at room temperature, cold or hot.

If your urine is a light/ pale colored yellow good for you! You are getting enough water. But if your urine is a dark yellow or an orangey color and might have a strong smell to it, you probably need more water.

If I find that I am not getting enough water, or maybe I want something different I can add some sugar free flavoring. I have all of these fun drinking glasses  that make drinking water a blast.

If you find that you are not drinking enough water, or you find it boring, get yourself some cool, fun drinking glasses. You will have so much fun drinking water out of them you will start to see a difference in your health.
