For the last year or so on Sunday nights we watch our favorite TV show Yellowstone. It’s got a good story line although it can be pretty violent, but wow it definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat. This is the fifth season with promises of at least 2 more seasons yet to come. It stars Kevin Costner in the lead role of John Dutton (what show could go wrong with this actor, not many.)
Filmed on a real live working ranch 5,000 square foot log mansion in Darby Montana that when the series is not taping you can actually stay there. The real life name of Yellowstone Ranch is actually called The Chief Joseph Ranch.
The show has a great cast, Kelly Reilly plays Beth Dutton, John Dutton’s daughter. Cole Hauser plays Rip Wheeler (there is a reason they call him Rip) John Dutton’s very loyal head ranch hand. You will even see the late actor Michael Landon’s real life daughter Jen Landon playing Teeter. Micheal Landon had played on TV shows like Bonanza, Highway to Heaven, and of course Little House on the Prairie.
Quite a few of the bunkhouse crew in real life are actual cowboys that help out in some scenes with horse wrangling, training the horses and crew.
Season 5 has 14 episodes to watch, a few have already played while the rest hopefully will return this summer.
Another great show that so far only has played season one is Tulsa King starring Sylvester Stallone , another violent show but oh so good.
