Lumby Stars Strong at Home During Monashee Classic
Playing in front of a supportive hometown crowd at Pat Duke Memorial Arena, the Lumby Stars put together an impressive weekend at the Lumby Monashee Classic Tournament. The team finished round-robin play on a high note before working through the semifinals and closing the weekend with a convincing win in the championship final.
The Stars opened the tournament Friday morning with an exciting 6–5 win over Aldergrove. In a close, back-and-forth game, Lumby took an early lead and managed to stay one step ahead throughout.
