To the Editor,
Every Sunday, I visit my family grave site at the Lumby cemetery. The day after Remembrance on my regular Sunday visit day as I’m approaching the family plot, I see a beautiful painted poppy on a rock. It really touched my heart, as my father was a World War 2 veteran, and I attended many Widow and Veterans luncheon with my mother at the Legion. Thank you Lumby for remembering our past in a special way, and thank you Violet P. for painting the poppy rock.
