TADA!

Welcome to Colleen’s Corner. This is a column meant for fun and some information About myself: I am a Freelance Photographer you often see me on the side of the road  or in various places taking photos of different things animals, birds, places, people etc.  l have lived in Lumby just over 8 years you have seen my photos in the newspaper (Lumby Valley Times) and once in awhile in the Vernon Morning Star, and the Lumby Art Gallery. Photography is my passion. Disclaimer:  The information on some of my photos that I write about a lot of times come from the Internet or books I research them, hopefully the facts are as close to the truth as I can come.

Do you remember last week when I told you about seeing people I know when I leave town? I said I had run into someone that read my article about my arbour falling down, well when I came home the other day, there it was in all its glory standing up nice and straight, and looking good. There was also a note telling me that he hadn’t read last week’s article yet about when it had fallen down. I moved it to another spot to get it out of the way. He left me a note to give him a call and he would come over the next day. “Great”! I thought. “That’s Awesome”! So, of course I phone him. True to his word he came over the very next morning and put my arbour back where it has stood for the last fourteen years. I would like to take this time and say thank you Doug. My pretty red arbour is standing up again, I thought it was done for good now. But it’s not. Once the Clematis and the Rose comes into bloom again this year they will be able to wrap themselves around the red arbour once more without any worries. The Bee Balm will grow in the middle of the arbour, the Humming Birds and the Butterflies will be able to have a place to rest and pollinate, and the Bees will be happy with all the beautiful colors of the flowers growing all around the red arbour and I will be happy to see them all again as I sit on my swing or work in the gardens watching them on my red arbour.
