To correctly wear your poppy it should be worn on the left side over your heart, from the last Friday of October until Remembrance Day November 11. You can remove it and place it on the Cenotaph, on a wreath, or on a grave of a soldier.
Please only dispose of your Poppy respectfully
It is not appropriate to wear your poppy after Remembrance Day unless it is for a Veterans funeral, or another memorial service, the anniversary of Vimy Ridge
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn; At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, We will remember them
Lest we forget, Lest we forget
