Notes From the Lumby Public Market – September 27, 2024

Did you make it to the Lumby and District Public Market this past Saturday September 21 2024?  Did you get your Butter Tarts, made with so many different flavors?

The market was buzzing. We had our famous Butter Tart Festival, it was the biggest one ever. People came from miles around just to be at the festival, the car show had over a hundred people that entered. The Square Dancers swung around most of the day, delighting everyone. The market saw over a thousand people that went through on Saturday. We had over 50 vendors. What a great busy day it was.

Now the drum roll please…………………… and the winners of the Butter Tart Festival were:

1st place: Kathy Simmons Lumby $ 100.00

2nd place: Kate Bennett Cherryville $ 50.00
