The market was a little slow this past Saturday with so many other things going on.
It was a long weekend, and a lot of people were away. The Falkland Rodeo, which of course was very busy. There was also a huge rally to save the poor Ostriches from being culled, in other words slaughtering these beautiful birds. There was some talk about this at the market, no one was pleased about it.
But at the market this past weekend our theme was “Garden Day.” It was great, Sam had her beautiful flowers. Lisa and Ann had some great plants. I wore my flowered shirt, Charlotte had balloons up at her booth. The OAP served a delicious breakfast. Everyone that was there, and came to the market was happy. We all had a great time, and some good laughs.
And one very special thing happened, the weatherman said , rain, thunderstorms, and possibly snow.
None of this happened while we were at the market, until later in the day when it poured.
Thank you weatherman for being wrong, and thank you Mother Nature for just being a little chilly and not raining on us.
