Photography is my passion. Disclaimer:  The information on some of my photos that I write about a lot of times come from the Internet or books I research them, hopefully the facts are as close to the truth as I can come.

Living on Mable Lake Road I see a lot of different things including the vehicles going way too fast on this road. The other day I was talking to a person at my fence, they had an app on their phone that could tell you how fast another car was going, they clocked a pickup truck going towards town at 110 km. The app may not be totally right, but that truck was moving like crazy. A car went speeding by shortly after the truck, this car was clocked at 95 km.

The speed limit is 60 km on this side of Mable Lake; it doesn’t go to 80 km until you pass the bridge just after the dairy farm. And going into town, it is 60, then slows down to 50km and then near the school it slows down to 30km. I know you think “hey, the kids are out of school, I don’t have to drive 30 km right now!”

Ahh, but this is where you are very wrong. In BC if there is a playground at a school you still have to drive 30 km, even if the  school is closed down. Monday to Friday 8am- 5 pm, Dawn -Dusk every single day of the year which includes all the weekends, and all of the holidays.

Everyday I see cars and trucks heading to town or going towards Trinity Valley Road, and their speed is extremely excessive. If you are in such a hurry to get somewhere, leave earlier so you won’t be late. A lot of people walk this road with and without their pets, and there are tons of cyclists that ride this road every day.

It won’t kill you to slow down, but you might kill someone or their pets, or even yourself if you don’t slow down.

This road is not the Indy 500 or some other race track, but a road that people live on, possibly even you or your friends and family!
