The end of summer has come and groups are once again beginning their activities at the OAP Hall. We have had our first meeting of the Monashee 50+ Club since the summer break and our next meeting will be held on Thursday, October 9th at 2:00 p.m. Membership for the year is $20.00, payable by January 31st, 2026.
The first luncheon of the Monashee 50+ Club was held on September 18th. There was a good turnout and the food was delicious. Thank you, Connie and crew, for providing such a wonderful meal.
Starting in October, the Monashee 50+ Club will be accepting Santa’s toy and gift donations for both children and teens to help make their Christmas more enjoyable. More information to follow.
Don’t forget to check out the highly popular Bingo. A December Saturday Bingo date will be decided later.
The Lumby Squares had an open house at the OAP Hall the last two Sundays and welcomed not only last year’s square dancers but also new people who were interested in checking out what we were doing. It was delightful to see the young people who attended. They add a spark to the squares and we’d like to see more of them come and try it. The dance club is fun, the people are great, and it is a good way to get some exercise and enjoy yourself at the same time.
If you know of any senior under the weather or who needs cheering up, please contact Jacquie, our Sunshine Girl, at 250-547-8913.
