Hello everyone! We are back! Our Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Friday September 8th, at 2:00 pm, and we certainly hope you are able to attend! It’s always a pleasure to see our faithful members and we are looking forward to seeing some new people who are interested in becoming involved, attend! Apparently we have 67 paid up members, which is wonderful! We would love to see more new faces so, if you would like to become a member, please join us this Friday! There are events scheduled each day of the week! These include the Quilter’s Group, who have been quilting at the hall for many years, the Theatre Group for Children and Adults from the ages 9 to 99, Pool or Shuffle Board, which is downstairs, a Community Art Class, Chair Yoga and of course Bingo every Tuesday with doors opening at 5:30 pm! Another exciting event to hopefully look forward to is our monthly luncheon! This is put on by senior volunteers, who enjoy cooking and love to see seniors come and socialize while enjoying a home cooked meal –one they didn’t have to prepare!
Our OAP-Monashee 50+ Club Executive includes President -Cindy Derry, Vice President- Karen Brahn, Secretary -Beth Mackie and our Directors – Sharon Foisy, Nancy House, Lauren Cox and Norma Bouzek.
This has been a very stressful and devastating year for many, so please be kind, caring, and considerate to one and other! Until next week, be thankful for what you have, stay positive, and keep smiling!
