Hi everyone! It’s so nice to wake up in the morning and we can actually see daylight! The days are getting longer just hope the weather becomes a little warmer! The time passes by so quickly and many of us are busy spring cleaning, yard work, and preparing our gardens for planting. Once again there are just a few reminders this week!
One last reminder for everyone – we are having a guest speaker on April 12th at 2:00, prior to our General Meeting. An RCMP member will be speaking on Senior Frauds and Scams and how we should be aware of them. It certainly is a topic many of us should be aware of! And it would be really nice if we had a great turn out at our General Meeting, to catch up on the activities that we have going on and to discuss topics that you may be interested in. Ladies pool members continue to enjoy their lessons every Wednesday and now have a ‘real’ game right after practice! Pam stated, ‘they may not be good at the game but they sure are having fun! Also, our special April Luncheon is next Thursday April 18th which, I believe, is Roast Beef and all the trimmings. It really is wonderful to see so many people attend and enjoy this nice social outing. Door prizes are kind of special as well! And Chair Yoga is ongoing every Friday from 12:30 – 1:30 pm. It is a great way to do Yoga especially for people with chronic conditions such as arthritis, or mobility issues! It is an exercise one can do without putting pressure on your joints, it reduces the fear of falling, improves your strength and balance and can help with your mental well being! Price per session is $10 or 5 classes for $40.00! Finally, remember Bingo every Tuesday, with doors opening at 5:30 and games beginning at 6:30! It’s a nice way to visit with friends and if you are lucky win some money!
