The original Village of Lumby Office was located at 2087 Shuswap Avenue across from the Lumby Legion (formerly Smedley’s). In 1964, the Village relocated their office to the former Mable Lake schoolhouse (across from the high school on Glencaird Street). The Mabel Lake schoolhouse was moved to Lumby by the Lumby Legion to provide space for a Youth Centre. The Lumby Legion released all claims to the building and major renovations were undertaken to the structure, including adding space for the library . The Village Office is now located at 1775 Glencaird Street and has underwent many changes through the years.
