The “Old Goose” or “Galloping Goose” was used at the Henry Sigalet & Co. Pole yard to load and unload poles and logs from 1936 to 1960. The “Goose” had a 60 foot boom and was a converted steam shovel formerly used by CN Railways. The “Goose” was purchased from CN for $3,000.00.
