1963 Anglican Church Expansion
1963 Anglican Church Expansion

In 1911, G.H. Catt donated the land for Lumby’s St. James the Less Anglican Church located at 2193 Glencaird Street.  This was one of Mr. Catt’s last acts prior to returning to England to stay.  The church was finished in 1912 and cost $1,200.00. The Church bell was donated by the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1927.  Today, there is a mural on the building, painted by Allyson Rance portraying the original Anglican Church before expansion.
