Talk about creative advertising!  In 1980 Richard Hoffman (1942-2021) rode his horse into the Lumby Hotel Cabaret to encourage country music lovers to attend the First Annual Country & Western Music Festival to be held May 31, 1980 at the Squaw Valley Guest Ranch.
