Moments in Time – Photos & Memories from the Lumby Museum – Angus Woods

Lumby’s Woods Lane is located between Park Avenue and Shuswap Avenue and is named after Angus Woods who came to this area around 1914.  This photo was taken at his home in Lumby at the southern entrance of Woods Lane.  He lived in Cherryville for a time and worked in the St. Paul Quartz Mine.  It was in Cherryville that he met and married his first wife, Agnes Correy.  Angus passed away on March 17, 1949.  At the time of his death, he was living in Lumby with his second wife, Fanny.  He is buried in the Lumby cemetery.
