MLA Harwinder Sandhu recently visited the Lumby Mens Shed and saw the various project under way including picnic tables for the Lumby Lions camp ground and a members cedar strip canoe, becoming a reality one strip at a time.
She is a long time supporter of Men’s Sheds realizing how they change lives and benefit a community.
The Lumby Men’s Shed is having its official opening on Saturday May 31st from noon to 3:00 pm at 2598 Shuswap Avenue. There will be a ribbon cutting by Mayor Kevin Acton and the president of the BC Men’s Sheds Association Jan Fennema will be visiting. Burgers and hot dogs will be available.
