The Lumby and District Fire Dept. would like to welcome 5 new recruits
They officially became members January 1, 2024 to start there training.
In February they will start the 140 hour firefighter training course at the regional fire training center in Vernon.
- Amos Lishman
- A born Mabel Laker and raised a River Roader and has lived in the area most of his life. He enjoys outdoor recreation in the Monashee’s with his family. In his spare time he’s a creative fella with wood and steel. He joined the fire department to be a contributing confident extra set of hands for our community.
- Cameron Smith
- Cameron has lived in Lumby for two years and enjoys motorcycling and skiing in his free time.
- He joined the fire hall in order to give back to what has been a very welcoming and understanding community. He absolutely loves Lumby and the people in it and wanted to try and help out where possible.
- Cole Burns
- Cole has lived in Lumby for 4 years and his hobbies are dirt biking and snowboarding. He joined the fire department to make a positive impact on the community by helping others.
- Maddox Lishman
- Maddox was born and raised here in Lumby, his hobbies are snowboarding, and listening to music. He joined the fire department to learn new skills and meet new people.
- Cody Grills
- I moved to Lumby 6 months ago and likes like to spend his time fishing, exploring and working in his shop.
- I joined the fire department to become part of a team and save lives.
