The Lumby Theatre Group successfully presented A Fairytale Courtroom at the Charles Bloom Secondary School Theatre this past weekend, drawing enthusiastic crowds and delivering three evenings of entertainment for the community.
The production brought together 17 actors ranging in age from just 5 years old to 80, showcasing the talent and dedication of performers from across generations. Approximately 260 people attended the performances over the course of the three-night run.
In this interactive comedy, the Big Bad Wolf and the Wicked Witch/Evil Queen were put on trial, with audience members serving as the jury. Each evening resulted in a different verdict, adding a unique and engaging element to every performance. Audiences thoroughly enjoyed the experience and left the theatre in great spirits.
The Lumby Theatre Group extends its sincere thanks to the many businesses in Lumby, the Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO), Charles Bloom Secondary School, and the Monashee Arts Council (MAC) for their generous support in bringing this theatre program to the community.
The group will begin accepting students again in September and welcomes aspiring actors of all ages who are interested in becoming involved in local theatre.
