The Lumby Stars U7 crew rolled into Winfield last Friday and put on an absolute show in two beauties against the hometown squads.
Luke was flying, driving the net like he had somewhere to be. Axle played sheriff and kept stuffing the biscuit home. Teagan kept touching twine in what’s been a breakout season to remember. Harris locked the puck in the zone and picked corners you’d need a flashlight to find. Gus owned the rebounds, jamming away until the whistle every single time.
William dazzled with pillowy hands, Bryson battled hard after putting in extra ODR hours, and birthday boy Hudson dished slick passes while showing serious wheels. Henley was everywhere, even making a save while waving to the crowd, and Carter back-checked like a machine before blasting pucks on net shift after shift.
The team even tore up the DJ skate (best dance moves in the tourney, no debate). And in the coaches’ competition, Ryan, Hayden and Mike proudly secured 4th place out of four — giving it everything they had and making Lumby proud.
The Stars were missing Louis and Zeinah but played with heart for the whole crew.
