Lumby Musicians Celebrate Canadian Composers
Lumby piano students Aiyana Heyde, Makena Williams, Emma Visscher and Daniel Patton celebrated Canadian composers on Sunday at the Vernon Registered Music Teachers Association’s Canada Music Week Recital. Bringing together musicians from Vernon and the North Okanagan, the recital was an opportunity to share Canadian music as part of the nation-wide Canada Music Week Festival.
The recital was followed by an awards ceremony recognizing students with the highest exam scores in the area over the past year. Aiyana Heyde and Emma Visscher were the recipients of the Level 2 and 4 Piano awards, respectively. Congratulations to all of the Lumby musicians on their exceptional performances and achievements!
