Legion News – October 30, 2020

October is almost over and we are now entering our chillier November. 

The Legion Column in the Lumby Valley Times was written for the week of October 28, 2020 , sent out, and published before the new restrictions presented by Dr. Bonnie Henry were issuedThe Lumby Legion is very sad to announce at this time that the Legions across Canada including Lumby, have been asked not to have any ceremonies at their Cenotaphs for Remembrance Day, the Lumby Legion will be following these guidelines during the COVID 19 as it could put our Veterans and others at risk.Please continue to show your support to our Veterans by buying and wearing your Poppies. The Poppies will go on sale October 30, 2020 On November 11, 2020 at 11:00 am remember to hold 2 minutes of silence in honor of our fallen soldiers. It is recommended that everyone stays home and catch ceremonies on your tv or online. The Lumby Legion will also be closed on Remembrance Day this year.

Shuffleboard Sunday November 1 2020  Registration 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm game begins at 1:15pm 

Meat Draws every Saturday 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm Gift Certificates are from our local stores
