Remembrance Day was a wonderful ceremony. Thanks to everyone who marched, hosted, cooked, volunteered l, and helped to make the day run smoothly. Most importantly thanks to the men and women who fought for our freedom.
There are Lots of events coming up at the Legion this month, here are A few dates to keep in mind:
Friday, November 22nd is our Movember Karaoke! Wear your best moustache and help us sing the night away! Runs from 8pm-11pm.
This Saturday, November 23rd is the start of our Turkey bonus meat-draw, where the amount of turkeys raffled off will grow each week. Draws run every Saturday starting November 23rd until December 21st. So come on down for a chance to win your Christmas dinner!
Friday, November 29th we will be hosting an open jam and Wing night! The lounge opens at 2pm and the music will begin around 6:30pm! Wings will be $5 with a variety of flavours to choose from. Anyone can come down and play so bring an instrument, your singing voice or an appetite and join us for a night of fun! (19+)
The Legion is also hosting its first ever Christmas sign making class Friday December 6/24 starting at 6pm-8:30(ish) with the talented Lauralee Vlasveld! Sign up on Facebook or down at the lounge! Only 25 spots are available, so hurry and sign up. Don’t miss your chance as they fill up fast!
Also a reminder memberships are going up to $55 as of January 1st, 2025, so come on down to the lounge and we can help you sign up/renew or you can go online at www.legion.ca and do it yourself! Sign up now and save yourself $5.
