Sports News:
For sports news we have the Legions crib team who have won the zones! Congratulations to Rod and Wynn Hartfelder, Deb Calvert and Kathryn Moulding, they are on their way to Provincials in Langford BC. The Legions pool team is on its way to Provincials as well and will be playing the weekend of March 8th in Cloverdale Bc. Best of luck to both teams!
Upcoming Events:
For the month of March we have Karaoke happening on Friday March 15 starting at 8:00pm to 11:00pm, and having a games night Friday March 22 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, some snacks will be provided. There will be pool, darts, crib and a few other games provided, if you have a game that you are interested in playing, feel free to bring it. The last Shuffleboard of the season is on March 17th. The registration is at 12:30pm and starts at 1:15pm. On Thursdays there is an open jem from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and darts from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Meat Draw on Saturdays from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. Lounge opens at 2:00pm, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. You don’t need to be a member to attend.
Legion Updates:
At the next General Meeting, Wednesday March 20th, we will be swearing in the new executive members. Past Officers metals and year pins will be given out at that time. Donald J. Bloomfield, Stewart Deconnick and Shane Knelsen will receive Affiliate year pins. Barbara Cook, Mike Cowan, Cindy Smith, Cori Smith, Levi Smith and Cyrilla Zimmerman are receiving Associate year pins. Guy Legare and Edith Thorson will receive Ordinary year pins. Please all of you make every effort to attend the meeting. The meeting times have now changed, the general meetings will now start at 6:00pm.
