I see there’s not going to be brake in the hot weather and it looks as though there is going to be a lot of dry lightning. So stay in the shade and keep an eye out for smoke in the hills. Also stay hydrated.
Last weeks Karaoke was pretty well attended, so come on down to the next Karaoke you will probably meet someone you know. The tentative date for a Karaoke is August 18th from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
There were a few musicians at the last Jam Session so we are going to go with them for while with the idea of bring it back full time. So, remember Thursday afternoons, if you like to sing and you can play an instrument come on down to the Legion.
The annual sports banquet will be on September 24th it starts at 12:00 pm please bring an appetizer for a pot luck lunch after the awards are given out. Don’t forget the Fishing Derby on September 8th to 10th. It starts Friday at noon and ends Sunday at noon. Also The Harvest Auction is on October 14th dinner at 6:00 pm auction right after. We will be accepting donations of produce home preserves and other items starting October 10th .
For all you shuffleboard players, Shuffleboard will start in the Legion on Sunday October 22nd, be there at noon. There is no date as to when Darts will start yet, we will let you know.
The next Meat Raffle with a $100 meat pack will be on August 12th. Mean while, don’t forget the other Meat Raffles.
