Intergenerational Fun Was Had By All

The Intergenerational BBQ held at the community Hall was a lot of fun last Friday for the summer day camp program and the adults as well. Kiki the Eco Elf  performed for everyone, she is a great entertainer, thank you very much Kiki for coming to put a smile on everyone’s face.

We would also like to thank the ladies from the Lions Club for cooking the Hotdogs and serving all the food to everyone.

Also thank you to the cooks from Saddle Mountain for making such a great Pasta Salad.

A big thank you to Whitevalley Resource Centre for putting on such a fantastic event, with all the organizing it took to get everything together.

After the food was eaten Michele ( the pilot) from Whitevalley Resource Centre rode the new Trishaw to the Community Hall for the kids and the adults to ride on (thank you Michele.)

Whitevalley Resource Centre  proudly presents cycling without age. We have a beautiful Trishaw which can take seniors to the Salmon Trail, or other places  in Lumby that could be hard for the seniors to get to.

What is a Trishaw you ask? You saw it in the Lumby Days Parade. It is  an electric pedal assisted trishaw bicycle that could carry two passengers at the same time. The volunteers that would drive the Trishaw are called pilots. This could be a great adventure to be riding on the Trishaw, bringing happiness and well being to the riders. If you would like more information on the Cycling Without Age program contact Whitevalley Resource Centre at 250-547-8866

Whitevalley Resource Center would like to thank our sponsors, The United Way, and Interior Health.
