Welcome to Colleen’s Corner. This is a column meant for fun and some information About myself: I am a Freelance Photographer you often see me on the side of the road or in various places taking photos of different things animals, birds, places, people etc. l have lived in Lumby just over 8 years you have seen my photos in the newspaper (Lumby Valley Times) and once in awhile in the Vernon Morning Star, and the Lumby Art Gallery. Photography is my passion. Disclaimer: The information on some of my photos that I write about a lot of times come from the Internet or books I research them, hopefully the facts are as close to the truth as I can come.
From our last travels Tim got the travelling bug. We will be heading out November 1 2023 and returning in 2024. Tim’s brother and his wife will be staying in our home while we are gone.
Where are you going? A lot of people have asked this question. My answer is always the same, we will be checking the weather on a daily basis and following the sun. It’s time to get warm, we are tired of the cold and the snow.
I guess we will now be labeled as “Snowbirds.” It has a nice ring to it.
Some people have asked me about the place where Tim works at Kenkraft. “Is it closing down?” No, the RV side will be closed for the winter but the fishing side will still be opened.
For all my readers, don’t worry, I will still be writing my column Colleen’s Corner with pictures while I am gone. This way you will know where I have been and possibly where the next stop will be as long as we are in a spot that has WIFI.
