Did you make it to Lumby Days this Year? It was a lot of fun, this is the first Lumby Days that I have been to where there wasn’t a monsoon. All the heavy rain that pours at least on the Saturday or the Sunday. This year Mother Nature had her storm early on Thursday and Friday instead. Which is great for everyone outside, but the indoor vendors pray for rain on at least one day of Lumby Days. But even though it didn’t rain on the weekend it was still a lot of fun. The theme for Lumby Days this year was the summer of 69, if you came to my booth you would have seen some small posters up and me in my “hippie outfit”.
For Lumby Days we took our “Minnie Winnie” motorhome out for the first camping of the season to The Lion’s Park Campground this makes life a little easier for us, as we setup at the Curling Rink on Friday, then on Saturday I can just walk over there whenTim takes the car to work, and I don’t have to find a parking spot. On Sunday I walk over there again, then when it’s closing time Tim brings his van and we pile everything in there.
Tim had checked out the motorhome about a week ago and everything was working fine after sitting all winter. There were no issues or leaks, hooray! We arrived at the campground on Thursday and stayed until Monday, it was a nice relaxing time, for our first outing of the year.
It was a good stay at the Lion’s Campground. On Saturday night some people I know brought out their guitars and we had a small fire in the fire pit and enjoyed some great tunes
If you have ever camped there then you know how nice it is there, and the host Cheryl is great.
If you haven’t ever camped there, give the host a call, make a reservation, and go have some fun. Don’t forget your sunglasses, as you all know what I like to say; it’s always a good day when you can wear your sunglasses!
