We wanted to highlight the hard work of Arlene, one of our Online Biggest Loser competitors! Take a look at what she had to say.

“I just wanted to let you know I have been continuing what I learned in the Biggest Loser, and the scale is still moving. Today I hit 30lbs lost! I am so grateful I joined your gym!” -Arlene

Arlene learned the tools of healthy eating and a consistent workout schedule over the 3 months of our Biggest Loser challenge. It has now been 6 months since Arlene started with us and here is an update of where she is at!

Here is a breakdown of her statistics:

  • Lost 54.08 lbs of body fat – Go Arlene!
  • Gained 23.38lbs of LBM (Muscle mass)
  • Overall weigh loss is 30.70lbs!
  • Lost a total of 34.00 inches in her measurements
  • Lost 16.62% body fat
  • Overall weight loss is 30.70lbs!

Not only did the scale show a 30lb fat loss, but when we calculated her body composition, we found she actually lost a total of 54lbs of body fat! How is that possible? Because along the way, she also gained 23lbs of Lean body mass (LBM) — and that’s exactly what we want to see! LBM is high-burning tissue, meaning it boosts metabolism and makes it easier to keep the weight off long-term. This is the key difference between sustainable body recomposition and typical weight loss programs that often lead to rebound weight gain.
