Truth and Reconciliation Day Display

MAC is honored to be able to work with Nakoda Sioux Artist Bonita Smith as her art is currently displayed in the Lumby Art Gallery for the gallery Truth and Reconciliation Day. This display is in honour of her mother, several other family members and to all the children who never made it home.

2nd Hand Art supplies Sale

Do you have lightly used Art supplies that might need a new home?

The MAC 2nd hand Art supplies sale is coming up and MAC is accepting donations for our upcoming 2nd hand art supplies sale, so now is a great time to clean out the studios and art rooms of those supplies that you no longer use.

Donations can be dropped off at the Village Gallery

All proceeds from this event go towards the MAC bursaries for those continuing in the Arts no matter their age.

Masquerade Gala October 26th

Join MAC for a night of a celebration of the Arts!

This Fall marks that 25th Anniversary and MAC wants to invite eveyone to join in the celebration, from Door prizes to, a photo booth, dancing, a 50/50 draw, delicious food prepared by Jitter Beans, and live music provided by Steel Wound!

Join in kicking off a celebration of 25 years of the Monashee Arts Council! 

Join us in celebrating with how you got started in the Arts!

We all have fun creating and what a better way than to showcase our fun out of control artists doing what they do best – Creating Amazing ART!!

Have fun show us why YOU create, show us your art in all it’s forms from landscape painting, spiraling quilts and hand puppets, Halloween masks, or maybe you draw comics or paper mache master pieces. We all started creating for one reason or another, this is your time to show us the art you do for FUN!

Submission Deadline is September 28th.

Community Art Classes are Back!!

Community Art Class Program 2024-2025 have returned with lots of exciting classes in store for this year from Drawing, Acrylic painting, Needle felting and Design let your Artistic side come out to play!

Classes are on Wednesday evenings at the O.A.P. Hall from 5:30-8:00. Register at the Lumby Village Gallery.
