Call for Artists!

The Monashee Arts Council (MAC) is looking for artists twenty five and under who love the arts and would like to showcase their work!

So if you or someone you know enjoys creating works of art? Be it drawing, painting, photography, sculpting, pottery, beading, wood carving, sewing or weaving, the Monashee Arts Council wants to know!

The Monashee Arts Council members hope this show will encourage our talented local youth to get involved and go public with their work. There will be a people’s choice prize and an opportunity to sell your work.

The only cost for this show is our $2 Youth Membership and it is open to all who want to be involved with the our local art scene. For more information or the application for please feel free to go to our Facebook page or drop by the Village Gallery, 1975 Vernon Street. (Highway 6) during our open hours of 10-4, Monday to Saturday. You can also request these documents by email:

Call for volunteers.

We are now a gallery rather than a cooperative of art vendors. If you are interested in promoting local art and fostering an atmosphere that nurtures upcoming artists, the Monashee Arts Council can use your organizational and other talents. Join us and make our gallery a meaningful addition to this community.

You don’t have to be an artist to get involved. Call 778-473-3029 and leave a message; or message either the Village Gallery or the Monashee Arts Council on Facebook.
