The Monashee Arts Council is thrilled to invite artists and photographers to participate in this year’s vibrant Lumby Days celebration, taking place June 13–15. Centred around the inspiring theme “Peace & Love,” the upcoming art show calls on creators of all styles and mediums to explore ideas of harmony, compassion, and unity. Whether abstract or realistic, each submission should reflect the transformative power of love and peace in both personal and global contexts.
Artists are encouraged to submit ready-to-hang pieces (with picture wire) by June 7 at 4 PM to the Village Gallery. There is a $5 entry fee per piece, which goes toward the People’s Choice Award. Artwork drop-off for the show is scheduled for June 13, from 9–11 AM at the Whitevalley Community Centre Hall.
In addition, the annual Photography Contest is back with eight exciting categories for both adults and youth (under 16), plus two special Challenge categories. All photo entries must also be submitted by June 7 at 4 PM at the Village Gallery.
