Runaway Moon Theatre brings ‘A Story for a Wintery day’ to Lumby
This whimsical and old-fashioned puppet play follows the amusing tale of Prince Pierre, who simply can’t be persuaded to get out of bed—even as the day unfolds around him. With beautifully crafted puppets and playful storytelling, the show brings warmth, humour, and imagination to audiences of all ages.
After the performance, the artist warmly welcomes everyone to come up close to see the puppets and ask questions — kids are especially fascinated by the intricate handmade characters and love getting a closer look behind the scenes!
March 26 from 10:30-11:30
At the Lumby 50+ club OAP hall (1675 Glencaird St.)

Magic of the Still Life
From ‘Sunflowers’ by Vincent van Gogh to mosaics and frescos from ancient civilizations such as sites in Pompeii, Still life painting has allowed artists to explore composition, symbolism and the beauty of the everyday items through various mediums.
Through the use of inanimate objects, arranged in an appealing way artists have been able to explore at times symbolic meanings of life’s fragility and mortality, while for others it maybe art for art’s sake.
Be sure to come in as our own local artists explore the beauty of the everyday through the magic of Still Life.
March 9 – April 3
